MINILS Concludes Second Phase of ITF/Skill-Up Artisan Programme

Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin, has successfully concluded the second phase of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Skill-Up Artisan Programme (SUPA), which spanned seven weeks and ended on Tuesday, 24th September 2025.

Speaking on behalf of the Director-General (Comr. Issa Aremu), the Director of Labour Management Relations Department at the Institute, Mr. Ezekiel Ayorinde, commended the significant impact of the programme, describing the transformation of the 123 participants from eager learners into competent professionals as highly commendable.

He congratulated the trainees for their commitment, perseverance, and resilience throughout the training, urging them to remain focused, curious, and steadfast in applying their newly acquired skills.

Comrade Aremu further conveyed the Institute’s gratitude to the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) for selecting MINILS as one of its training centres, a gesture he noted underscores the Institute’s capacity and commitment to advancing skill development and empowering artisans nationwide.

He also expressed gratitude to the facilitators, drawn from various departments of the Institute, for their dedication and exemplary service in ensuring the success of the programme.

The Skill-Up Artisan Programme (SUPA) is a flagship initiative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the ITF, designed to equip artisans with practical skills that enhance productivity, employability, and self-reliance, thereby strengthening Nigeria’s labour market and boosting national development.
