The Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin, has pledged continued partnership with the federal government in advancing national development under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking at a one-day sensitization programme and town hall meeting organised by the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation at the Federal Secretariat Conference room, Ilorin on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the Director-General/Chief Executive of MINILS represented by the Ag. Head of Special Duties Division, Mrs. Solomon Rachel stated that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda transcends beyond macroeconomic reforms, stressing its focus on infrastructure, agriculture, job creation, NELFUND loans, and other initiatives that directly impact citizens.While urging participants to align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, she noted that the progress recorded thus far under the policy is noteworthy, particularly in Kwara State.She further pledged the Institute’s continuous collaboration with the present administration, its agenda, and its policies in the interest of national growth and development.
A major highlight of the program was the keynote address by the guest speaker, Mallam Abdullateef Ishowo, a public affairs analyst who commended President Tinubu’s administration for its strides in agriculture, economic development, tax reform and the fight against insecurity. He, however, called on the federal government to establish a more effective governance system and review workers’ remuneration in line with their work output to cushion the effects of current prevailing economic hardships.
