In furtherance of its institutional mandate on employee welfare, the Director-General of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Comrade Issa Aremu, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, presented the death benefit of a late staff member, Mrs. Olufemi Olushola Christianah, to her children at the Institute.
The payment, which covers burial expenses, underscores the Institute’s commitment to staff welfare beyond active service and is part of an established public service policy aimed at providing financial relief to bereaved families. The brief but solemn ceremony reflected the Institute’s support and solidarity with the family during their time of loss.
Mrs. Olufemi, who served the Institute for ten years, was remembered for her dedication and contributions to the Institute.
The Director-General further directed the immediate processing of all outstanding entitlements, including insurance and pension benefits, to ensure timely support for the family.
The Institute reaffirmed its commitment to policies that prioritise the welfare of employees and their families, noting that such initiatives remain central to its values.
